Translate Video to Hindi (हिंदी)

Your video never leaves your device. How?

In Accurate mode only the audio is sent to our server to be transcribed, then deleted. Choose "On this device" in the settings and nothing is uploaded.

Select or drop a video or audio file

How to translate a video to Hindi

1

Choose the video

Pick the video from your phone or computer: an English tutorial, a lecture, a Reel or any clip (MP4, MOV, WebM).

2

Check the settings

Subtitles in is already set to Hindi. The spoken language is detected by itself, or you can set it.

3

Generate

The subtitles are written in the spoken language, then translated into Hindi, usually within a minute.

4

Read and fix

Check the Hindi lines; you can fix any word, or keep an English term as it is.

5

Make the video

Pick a caption style with the Poppins or Baloo font (both show Devanagari), then make the video or download the SRT.

Hindi subtitles for English videos

Most tutorials, courses and lectures online are in English. Hindi subtitles make them easier to follow for students and for family members who are more comfortable in Hindi.

For creators, Hindi subtitles on an English Reel or YouTube video open it to a much bigger audience in India, and drawn-in captions show on Instagram, YouTube Shorts and WhatsApp Status alike.

How the translation is made

First the video's own subtitles are written: in Accurate mode (the default) your browser takes the audio out of the video and sends only that audio to be transcribed by Whisper large-v3-turbo, with each line's timing. Nothing is kept. Choose On this device and the speech is recognised in your browser instead.

Then the subtitle lines, and only their text, are translated by an AI language model, a whole video at a time so each line is translated with the lines around it in mind. Every line keeps its timing, so the translated subtitles stay in sync. The text isn't stored.

The video itself never leaves your device: the subtitles are drawn onto it in your browser, or you download them as an SRT or VTT file.

Features

Proper Devanagari

The subtitles are in Hindi script (हिंदी), not Roman letters. The Poppins and Baloo fonts draw matras and conjuncts correctly in the video.

From any language

English most often, but Spanish, Arabic, Korean or any of 99 spoken languages can be translated into Hindi.

Subtitles here, dubbing too

The speech is translated into subtitles you can read, timed to the voice, and the original voice stays as it is. To hear it spoken in the new language, use AI Dubbing.

Edit before you download

AI translation can get a name or an idiom wrong. Every line can be fixed before you make the video or download the file.

Your video stays private

Only the audio is sent to be transcribed and only the text to be translated; neither is kept. The video never leaves your device.

Free, no sign-up

No account, no watermark. Free with fair use: a day's translations cover about 15 ten-minute videos.

Frequently asked questions

How do I translate an English video to Hindi?

Choose the video on this page and press Generate. The English subtitles are written first, then translated into Hindi line by line, each keeping its timing. Make the video with Hindi subtitles drawn in, or download the SRT.

Will the Hindi show correctly in the video?

Yes, with the Poppins or Baloo font, which draw Devanagari properly, including matras and joined letters. Other fonts may not show Hindi.

Can I get Hinglish (Hindi in English letters) instead?

The translation is in Devanagari. You can edit any line before downloading, for example to write a word in English letters.

Can I translate into Marathi, Bengali, Tamil or Telugu too?

Yes. Under Subtitles in, pick Marathi, Bengali, Tamil or Telugu instead of Hindi.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Only the audio is sent to be transcribed and only the text to be translated, and neither is kept. The video stays on your phone or computer.

How long can the video be?

Videos up to an hour are transcribed in Accurate mode, in a minute or two; longer ones on your device (slower), or in Accurate mode with ClipUtils Pro, up to 2 hours.
