Lecture to Notes: Turn a Class Recording into Notes, a Quiz and Flashcards
Drop a recorded lecture, a class video or an audio recording. AI writes out what the teacher says, then turns it into clear notes in sections, a quiz that checks your answers and flashcards to revise, in the class's language. Tap any section to hear that part again. Free, no sign-up.
Your audio is deleted once it's transcribed. How?
In Accurate mode the audio is sent to our server to be transcribed, then deleted. Choose "On this device" in the settings and nothing is uploaded.

How to turn a lecture into notes
Add the recording
Drop a lecture or class video (MP4, MOV, WebM) or an audio recording (MP3, M4A, WAV). The video stays on your device.
Write it out
Pick the language spoken for the best result, then press Generate Subtitles: AI writes out what the teacher says.
Make your notes
Press Make my notes: AI writes notes in sections, a quiz and flashcards from what was said, nothing else.
Revise
Read the notes, tap a section to hear that part, take the quiz, turn the flashcards, and download the notes or the cards for Anki.
How it works
First the recording is written out, as in Auto Subtitles: in Accurate mode only the audio is sent to be transcribed (videos up to 15 minutes, free with fair use), or it's done on your device for longer recordings. Your video never leaves your device.
Then only the words go to Claude, Anthropic's AI, which turns them into notes in the lecture's order, a quiz and flashcards. It is told to use only what the teacher says, never to add facts of its own, and to fix the transcript's obvious mistakes from context. Each section keeps the time it starts, so you can hear it again.
Features
Notes you can trust

Frequently asked questions
Is Lecture to Notes free?
Yes: notes for 3 classes a day, and the subtitles themselves are free (Accurate mode for recordings up to 15 minutes, longer ones on your device). ClipUtils Pro makes notes for 40 classes a day with a stronger AI writer.
Does it work for Hindi lectures?
Yes. Pick Hindi as the spoken language for the best transcript (auto-detect often mistakes Indian languages), and the notes come out in Hindi. Hinglish classes work too.
Will the notes add things the teacher didn't say?
They're made only from what was said in the recording, and Claude is told never to add facts of its own. If part of the recording is unclear, it's left out rather than guessed.
Is my lecture uploaded?
The video stays on your device. In Accurate mode only the audio is sent to be written out, and then only the words go to Claude for the notes; neither is kept.
