When the song is stuck in the video
A song added in TikTok's editor and saved with the video, or one that was playing while you filmed, is mixed into the sound. TikTok can only replace the whole sound, voice included. Separating them lets you keep your talking and choose a new sound, reuse the clip on Reels or Shorts, or stop a muted video from losing its voice.

How it works
An MDX-Net model (from the open-source Ultimate Vocal Remover project) runs in your browser and splits the TikTok's sound into the voice and everything else. The voice is put back in the video with FFmpeg: the picture is copied as it is, so it loses no quality.
Speech over music separates cleanly. Singing counts as voice, and sound effects go with the music. A voice buried in very loud music can keep a little of it.

Is my video uploaded?
No. Only the AI model is downloaded, once, from this site. The voice is separated from the music in your browser and the new video is made on your device.
Why does my saved TikTok have the song in it?
When you add a sound in TikTok's editor, it's mixed into the video you save. This tool undoes that mix as well as it can: it keeps the voice and removes the rest.
Does it remove the TikTok watermark?
No. To get a video without the watermark, export it from your drafts (or film it with your camera app) before posting.
Can I keep a bit of the music?
