French Text to Speech: Free AI Voice, MP3 Download
Type or paste French text, hear it in a natural French voice and download it as an MP3. It's free with no sign-up and no limit, and your text is never kept.
Your text never leaves your device. How?
The voice is made by an AI model that runs in your browser, so your text isn't sent anywhere. The model (about 92 MB) downloads once from Hugging Face and is then kept on your device. (On phones, it's made on our server instead, for speed, and isn't kept.)
0 / 10,000 characters
Free, no sign-up, no watermark. The first time, the AI voice downloads once (about 92 MB); after that it starts in seconds, even offline.

Listen and download
Play it on the page and download it as an MP3 (or WAV), or turn it into a video with captions.
What people use it for
French voice-overs for YouTube videos, Reels, Shorts and TikToks, including faceless channels; narration for lessons, presentations and stories; listening practice for French learners; and messages or announcements read out.
For a video, make the voice here, then open it in Text to Video or Audio to Video to add a background and captions, or put the MP3 in CapCut, InShot or any video editor.
How the French voice is made
The voice comes from Kokoro, an open-source AI speech model that's free to use, even commercially. Your French text is turned into its sounds by eSpeak NG, sentence by sentence, liaisons included, and the model speaks them in a French woman's voice. Numbers are read in French.
On a computer it all runs in your browser, with nothing uploaded; the model (about 92 MB) downloads once from Hugging Face and is kept, so the next time it starts in seconds. On phones, the same voice is made on our server in seconds (through DeepInfra), and your text isn't kept.

Frequently asked questions
Is this French text to speech free?
Yes. There's no sign-up, no watermark and no monthly limit: up to 8 minutes of speech at a time, as often as you like. For a longer text, the first 8 minutes are free and all of it is part of ClipUtils Pro.
Is there a man's French voice?
Not yet: the open-source model has one French voice, a woman's. For a man's voice, the Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi and English voices include men.
Can I use the voice on YouTube?
Yes. The voices come from Kokoro, an open-source model under the Apache 2.0 license, so the audio can be used in videos, including monetized ones.
Is my text uploaded?
On a computer, no: the AI runs in your browser, so your text never leaves it (only the model, about 92 MB, is downloaded once). On phones, your text is sent to our server to be spoken in seconds, and it isn't kept.
How long does it take?
On a phone, seconds: the voice is made on our server. On a computer, the AI voice downloads the first time (about 92 MB), then a paragraph takes under a minute.
